It is interesting to see this study comparing minimally invasive surgery of the foot with more traditional established treatment
Our preference is to use both techniques but to tend towards the more traditional and proven methods
Of great interest is the reiteration rate of over 25% in the minimally invasive group and especially the deformity into extension in that group as well
All new technology has to stand objective Analysis and not just be driven by consumer opinion
At our clinic we always keep an eye to new development but are careful to keep it in perspective especially with a view up costs and possible complications
Not all new things turn out well
