Recently, Associate professor Miniter was invited to speak and share operative experience with 3 separate groups of surgeons in major Chinese hospitals.
The trip was centered around Guangzhou. It also included for Foshan City.
In each of these places, Dr Miniter was able to visit large busy orthopedic units. Ideas in relation to total hip replacement. He was fortunate to be asked to operate on 5 separate knees and show the local surgeons his experience with the samo total knee replacement.
We spent some time discussing other cases educating more junior surgeons and becoming generally more acquainted with matters in China.
It certainly was a very exciting and interesting time. China is progressing extremely rapidly and the design and technology inherent in these new cities was very impressive indeed.
The feedback from the visit has been positive. Dr Miniter does plan to return to visit both areas in the near future.
